What’s your favorite thing about being a peer advisor?
I like being able to help students one on one in a friendly and approachable way since life is hard to navigate sometimes.
How did you decide your major/career path?
During high school I got really interested in graphic design and how I can showcase qualities and skills through pictures and elements, and that got me into promotional strategies. One of my hobbies is fashion, it is very marketable, it’s all around you, and I found it very interesting.
What is the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Pick a career that you can imagine yourself doing for a long while instead of just liking it or doing it for money. Find a good balance between your passion and financial/security needs.
What’s a career resource at SuccessWorks that you wish you learned about sooner?
(I might be biased) The career closet! It’s such a useful resource for students because it’s sustainable and accessible to students with budget and schedule constraints.
