What’s your favorite thing about being a peer advisor?
I really enjoy getting to learn and apply vocational skills I can use in the future as a Rehabilitation Counselor.
How did you decide your major/career path?
I am in the Clinical Rehabilitation Counselor M.S. program and decided to go down this career path due to the various disability field jobs I had in the past.
What is the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Do not underestimate the experiences you have already had. Just because the title is not “impressive” does not mean the experience itself is not.
What’s a career resource at SuccessWorks that you wish you learned about sooner?
A career resource at SuccessWorks I think is really valuable is the people. Getting a meeting early and working through what you really want to do with someone can help you find resources so much faster than on your own.
