The event highlighted the accomplishments and influence of Black men throughout US history. Additionally, it featured riveting spoken word from Kwabena Antoine Nixon, an engaging speech from Wisconsin’s first Black Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes, and an exciting step show by University of Wisconsin Chapters of Phi Beta Sigma and Alpha Phi Alpha, along with UW Whitewater Chapter of Omega Psi Phi.
