About the presentation: Jesus Del Toro (B.A., LACIS and Spanish) shares lessons learned during his time at UW-Madison. As a first-generation college student, Del Toro brings a unique understanding of the ups and downs. Recognized by UW-Madison with the Meyerhoff & Ginsburg Family Award, Del Toro shares his involvement and experiences that led him to his current work with the federal government.
About the presenter: Jesús Alberto Del Toro was born in Aurora, IL. Del Toro graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Latin American, Caribbean & Iberian Studies Program. Recently, he graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Master of Public Policy. During his time as Mayoral Fellow for the City of Chicago, Del Toro worked with the Mayor’s Office senior staff to address pressing policy challenges. Currently, Del Toro serves the Illinois 4th Congressional District as Congressman Jesús “Chuy” Garcia’s District Communications Coordinator & Outreach Liaison.
