Immigration Policy & Communications Strategy Experience
January 12, 2021 @ 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Want to do something productive over winter break to move forward in your career goals? All majors are invited to participate in this case study simulation to learn, explore, and experience what it’s like to work in a professional field.
Interested in careers in government, policy, international affairs, law, education, non-profits, communications, public relations, arts, and/or journalism? In this simulated case study experience, you’ll work in a small team with other students to put together a fact sheet or communications campaign in support of the DREAM Act. Your goal: persuade members of congress, their staff, lobbyists, and/or the general public to support passage of the DREAM Act, and create a communications campaign supporting your position.
Along the way you’ll engage with and learn from alumni professionals who have professional experience in government, policy, and communications!
